Dont know why, but it doesn;t work for me. I flashed with the UK FW, only backed up conversations as I wanted a nice fresh start. Everything else is fine and I'm definately on PR1.2 but not getting rotation when I press CTRL, Shift + R. Anyone have any ideas? Searching has given me no answers!

@mornage, after pressing CTRL*SHIFT*R (not the blue key, the shift key) you have to close the keyboard and turn the device vertically and wait a second. you have to repeat this steps at every restart of the app, what is really annoying

Just got PR1.2 updated and was checking and found image viewer dosent rotate after pressing the ctrl-shift-r.

Are you holding down all three buttons at the same time, or are you pressing them one at a time in that order?

I think I wasn't closing the keyboard and waiting long enough! Thanks!

Just realized, that conky rotates without pressing ctrl-shift-r. I did that once with browser open and as far as I remember since then it works automatically in some apps. Now I try with ervery app if it turns around or not.
So I have a question:
* is this a global shortcut or
* are some apps specially prepared already or
* did I do something wrong and my device is actually broken?

I really like conky rotated, looks much better!

I don't know why this easteregg? was put into the update. It's long been said there will be no full portrait mode in Maemo5. Maybe they're changing their mind? probably not but anyway it's great. File Manager works great, app manager too, i even got angry birds in portrait but its not useable. settings works well as well. ;p

Not all apps that seem to rotate for some people here rotate for me. Seems a bit hit and miss from what i'm reading online. In fact is there anything official on what should rotate from the base applications ?

Some remember they're set in rotate mode until device reboot then forget (conversations). Others seem to forget after one rotation (settings). This is about my only hmmmm after the 1.2 update. Not sure if this is the same for others who've updated ??

I'm living with landscape but clear cut non buggy, no lag, permanent portrait rotation for on the go instances in some appllications is desired. Still room for improvement on this front beyond PR1.2. Patience is a virtue but i wont hold my breath too much. It as a well talked about issue before PR1.2 so i was hoping i would be sorted lock & stock post 1.2 but sadly not.

Too sad. I just wanted to know and restarted conky. Now it doesn't rotate anymore. Seems like it was affected by the keypress because it was running in background and now has lost this info. At least microb seems to remember this setting. Probably will forget after next reboot.
