Okay a small update from a fmtx-faker "fan" who updated to PR 1.2
I installed fmtx-faker 0.3 from extras-devel and it works as normal till now. I havent tried to boost it but i guess it works. Only thing changed is that it isnt available from settings, but only from media player's "Now Playing" section, but its deffinately not a big deal!!!Thanks again qwerty12!!!

Hmm, is the icon not visible in Settings or can't you run it? If it's the former - which I'd assume to be the case, since Media Player runs the Control Panel applet directly through osso_cp_plugin_execute () - then does /usr/share/applications/hildon-control-panel/cpfmtx.desktop exist? FMTX Faker does not provide that file (it should come as standard) and nor does it touch it in any way

Strange. The file you are refering to: /usr/share/applications/hildon-control-panel/cpfmtx.desktop is there, but the icon is missing from setting.

The plot thickens. *strokes stubble*

Here's what the desktop file contains here:
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Version=1.0
Name=fmtx_ti_fm_transmitter
Comment=Set the fmtx frequency.
Type=HildonControlPanelPlugin
Icon=general_fm_transmitter
Categories=connectivity
X-control-panel-plugin=libcpfmtx.so
X-Text-Domain=osso-fm-transmitter

Haha, Nokia are sneaky bastards. They've made the Control Panel check to see if it's enabled before displaying the icon. Time for a minor FMTX Faker update tomorrow, methinks.

I had to use FMTX Faker to intentionally trick the Control Panel into thinking the transmitter was disabled here, heh.

FMTX Faker 0.5, available in Extras-devel, fixes this.

Oh, just as a reminder: The method used by FMTX Faker can easily be fixed by Nokia. I genuinely thank them (/no sarcasm) for not attempting to do so, even with PR 1.2.

So is it just to install this from extras-devel through my phone, or do I have to mess with xterminal?

Just install from the repository, and everything should work.
