i agree, its seems 'heavier' , like in pr1.1 i can scroll with no hazard, pr1.2, its like dragging a rock across a river.

could they have done it on purpose? i've had my hands on an iphone for a little and now i feel the n900 scrolls similarly to how an iphone does (which i hate). perhaps the majority of people who did the online n900 survey said they like the current scrolling better?

I completely agree - scrolling the application menu is now very annoying.
has anyone filed a bug report for this?

I don't know under which category we should file it?

Ya I agree coz it was the first thing I noticed even in LPR even with not many apps but thought it will get fixed but its still there

hildon-desktop
The menu is hd-laucnher.c afaik (not sure about this one, but it is part of hildon-desktop)

E: his point's still valid though, you can fix it yourself

Can't we control the friction and speed with transitions.ini?

There are a lot of settings in there. I'm afraid to edit it...

Thanks. http://maemo.gitorious.org/fremantle...r/src/launcher looks a good place to look, but it's beyond me I'm afraid.
