I agree. The new OSK is a load of here shepe. I can't get on with it at all, and I don't like the hold to get FN symbols either. I liked the fact I could use my keyboard like a normal laptop keyboard.

I'm pretty sure they are talking about the list of apps you get from the top-left button, not Hildon Application Manager. Do you know which component provides that list?

Can't we control the friction and speed with transitions.ini?
There are a lot of settings in there. I'm afraid to edit it...

hildon-desktop
The menu is hd-laucnher.c afaik (not sure about this one, but it is part of hildon-desktop)
E: his point's still valid though, you can fix it yourself
