The reasoning behind this WONTFIX was basically that it would need SGX driver update and this would be too hard to test
yes. that why developer and consumer also suffer the situation to get what they paid for. seem nokia have much time for meego, i don't see any reason why nokia can't make it, yet meego will get the driver for it.

Dominick, perhaps. However, I think our community will be stronger if Nokia increases sales. More N900 users = more value to developers. I would rather not see N900 owners migrate to another platform.

I realize that there are some that troll and abuse these forums, but some of the requests are valid. I think people are calling out for Nokia to listen to them. Nokia would do well to listen and respond.

Motorola Q got an Flash Lite update - from Flash Lite 2.1 to 3.0. As did other WinMo phones up to a point. But it's Adobe's move to where Flash Lite and the Flash Player (full blown) are converging to have some parity - it's almost a moot point to bring up who before.

It's all about who will now. And so far, no Nokia phone has. And yet, on the Nexus One, I can beta 10.1. Other Android phones will soon be able to do it too - not all, initially.

But it doesn't answer my question. Which Nokia phones have ever received an Adobe Flash update? It's not a loaded question, I'm honestly curious because it seems to be a few vendors that aren't doing the updates when they very well might be able to update.

I'm pretty certain the N95 was a Flash Lite 2 phone that got Flash Lite 3 in an upgrade along the way, if that means anything to you. I was not following phones that much in 2006/2007 so can't recall the status of other models.

For as far as i have read flash 10 needs atleast 800 mhz of computing power... so thats why its not comming! the n900 is far to slow to keep up with the new technologies.

Lol we have apps for everything nokia ignores to fix. im fed up with it. I allready signed in to get a notification when the iphone 4 will be available. its very closed source but the quality of that thing! and the support its getting is beyond the power of every other mobile phone manufacturer.

One more slogan wich made me smile and thought they are 100% right about that one:

While everyone else was busy trying to keep up with iPhone, we were busy creating amazing new features that make iPhone more powerful, easier to use, and more indispensable than ever. The result is iPhone 4. The biggest thing to happen to iPhone since iPhone.
this thing is just 3 mm thicker then the upper part of the n900 and yet all these new features and amzing battery improvements. you cant ignore that! With this device apple is going to kill all other competition at once!

Looking at the n8 wich can make HD video... nice... but its on a crappy 680 mhz processor and with only 1200 mah battery. this new phone is gonna suck even harder then before.

Because nokia makes 100 models a year they arent seeing the point anymore. people want better quality devices with superb support. and what are we getting with the n900. indeed! nothing! we need to ask the community to please make a fix for it because nokia is too busy making 99 other phones wich are half finished. With putting their effort in making phones instead of supporting them they are scaring of the few remaining customers who want to believe that with the next model its gonna change... but believe me, it wont!

Well have a good one with your n900 i wont be using mine anymore after the i4 is comming

Where does it say that?

It seems to work on S60 and Flash 10 works fine on 550 MHz. Additionally, wasn't it supposed to take advantage of hardware so N900 can put that video chip to work?

And finally, N900 can be overclocked for the performance difference should the worst come to pass. People have been running N900 at 950 IIRC.

Oh, one more thing: What is 800 MHz worth of "computing power"? On what platform? With what hardware? What OS? What about acceleration? E.g., my home PC plays full HD while loading the CPU around 2% (that's 40 MHz of computing power), because it implements DXVA through a dual video card. A decoding chip would throw that out the window. One should not compare the hertz so easily.

The Skyfire browser on the N900 http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...t=skyfire+hulu If we sign up and ask for it on the forum site maybe they will comply. This browser should let us have flash 10 without straining the N900 so much, as the content is streamed. http://www.zatznotfunny.com/2008-08/...obile-devices/ They have it for Android now.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9t00f...ayer_embedded#

I love my N900. Think it still beats out the new, upcoming iPhone 4, except in size. iPhone = no flash at all, ever. N900 = room to grow, iPhone = you get what Apple says is good for you.
