is there a updated how-to like the one on page 30 or just the videos?
I boot up android on my n900 using files on first page, instructions on 30 page and videos
Oww and i added the "android.etc.item" file to /etc/bootmenu.d to make it work(search the thread).

can anyone help me with unpacking tbz2 in terminal???

i use: sudo tar xjvvpf c:\NITdroid-0.0.3-1-Eclair-WiFi <press return>

evertime i get the same error:

22:22] <nielsvg> rsh: c: name or service not known
[22:22] <nielsvg> tar (child): c......... cannot open: input/output error
[22:22] <nielsvg> tar (child): error is not recoverable: exiting now

i also tried wget but i'm using vmware with damn small linux and dont know if wget is installed because i get error using this code

it wont be c?/ where file is stored itll be diff location

i saved it in windows in my downloads map and then i moved it to c-drive

You'll have to get it inside DSL somehow, use a usb-stick for example(that is the easiest way IMO, except for virtualbox which has a easy network-sharing feature).

DJ_Steve: Sound is not working for me. I added the asound.config yesterday and tested lastnight. I have no sound anywhere. All my settings for (seemingly) correct.

Have you tried playing a music file? I don't think there are any sounds except when playing music files...

the files for things like changing volume are not their so music is what works

I'm not silly . Tested an mp3. no sound at all.

id suggest checking the asound.conf is in coreect place etc
