Is this a new feature? Since PR1.2 i have been unable to change my user agent.

Google have decided to do a Facebook and force users to the crap mobile version of Gmail. Any ideas?

did you change it through about:config -> General User agent vendor ?

Just tested it with my facebook(after changing user agent) and it shows desktop version. Firmware is (PR.1.2)

Yeah I used about:config and as soon as you close that window, and then reopen it, it has reset back to the original Nokia one. It used to work on PR1.1.1 for me.

I just tried it on mine and it does the same thing - close the window reopen and setting has reset back to default.

Firmware = PR1.2

I usually change my user agent with Hide User Agent, a nice app in Extras Testing. Working in PR 1.2.

If you want to give it a try:

http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...eragent/0.3.7/

Don't be scared about its rejection from testing, it works beautifully but people don't like the fact that you can't access OVI Store when user agent is customized.

Hardly a great loss - site is useless anyway!

Thanks for the link - I knew an app existed for this.

If you don't close MicroB, the user agent change works fine. Since PR1.1, they apparently made useragent changes not persistent. So if you close MicroB, your user agnet will go back to default, but if you change it and then just go to the webpage you want from the about:config window, you'll be good.
