That's a limitation of hildon-status-menu itself -- surely you must have noticed the same in applications that natively rotate?

very nice...

How could I disable it ? I don't want to unistall it, it's useful, but not everytime.

Hi,

Great job on this app. +1 for the blacklist (or actually whitelist) idea where you could specify applications that would rotate to avoid the issues with apps that do not support rotation well.

Apps that already support rotation could be left out as well as apps that do not look right (i.e. desktop/media player).

Thanks,
-DJ

I plan to include a GUI for such options.

If you want to start implementing the basics of this, I'd be happy to mentor you.

I'm really not able to replicate this. At least, assuming we're talking about the same thing: the status area where wifi/etc is enabled/disabled, IM status etc?

great work w00t. gonna wait until some of the features are done before i install though as i want to be able to turn on and off when needed or black list cefrtain apps.

am considering creating a linux vm and downloading the sdk if you're offering mentoring. i don't know the first thing about coding though!!!
