I installed Winvnc/ULTra vnc on my windows 7 pc and then I installed vnc viewer on my n900 and if I connect to my wifi router and type in the ip address 192.xxx. etc etc into the n900 vnc viewer it connects fine but how do you go about setting up maybe my router and anything else so I can connect to my pc from another wifi conenction or over 3g or something?

My router is dlink DI-524 incase I need to open up a port like 5900 but I dont know how and where in this router to do this if someone can help me out. Thanks

Well I guess never mind for now I first followed this guide http://nokia-n900.com/vnc-viewer-rem...c-on-the-n900/

Then I went here to open the 5800 and 5900 ports and the guide helpled me cause the guy was using the same exact router as mine http://www.paulscomputerservice.net/...s/ultravnc.php

You can even install rdesktop on your N900. Same procedure. You won't need to install vnc on your PC, just enable remote desktop.

I prefer RDP coz the rdesktop on N900 scales the desktop quite well and it's pretty good. With VNC i have scrollbars on side and bottom.
