so I'm on the fence about the n800, i feel like i should just wait for the newest iteration, such as, i've heard that the n800 will soon be equipped with wimax capabilities, or is it already built in?

Texrat's one of the very few here who'd know the answer to that, but even if you submit your question to him in the proper format (i.e. on the back of a $100 bill), I think he still just grins evilly and winks a lot.

Well, if you're referring the the Sprint announcement, keep in mind that Sprint WiMax 1) won't be available until the end of 2008 and 2) will only be in select cities. If you're willing to wait another year and half, and happen to be in one of the Chosen Cities, then there you go.

WiMax is not already built in. It will be in a future model for the Sprint network. I don't know how soon that will be.

Actually I've been out of the hardware loop for some time. AND those hardware program yoyos did leave me in the dark about the FM radio.

There's been some speculation that it can be enabled via software. I have serious doubts, but can't give a definitive answer either way. And even if I could, I'm betting I shouldn't.
