This is not a question of theory, but of experiences. I am a user of Nokia N900. I'm using the original battery now, as well as a unofficial one named MBT-5975 ($3.16) as an alternative. They have been used for about half a year, but at least by far, i've find no difference between them in terms of endurablility and security.

Yep, just like the guys that were laughing when we used leaked PR1.2. But we got the last laugh with that one; there were just as many problems or more with the official PR1.2.

I'll let you know if my N800 using cheap batteries or my N810 using cheap batteries or my N900 using cheap batteries explodes or starts burning.

How many users have mentioned exploding and burning the house down on this site?

Would that be like the people whose N900s have been destroyed thru overclocking?

I think you need to up the level of rhetoric to get people's attention.

Start talking about batteries exploding and burning the house down and killing their pets. That might work.

And by the way, don't forget to do a comparison of how many people claim their REAL Nokia batteries have malfunctioned. I'm sure Nokia will release that information.

For Pete's sake it's a LiIon cell from 2010 not a block of Tri-nitro toluene
