Perhaps through bluetooth the n800's touch screen gestures can interface with a larger pc/laptop screen and thus then can act as a graphics tablet for photo-editing or drawing.

I am not a programmer, is any one interested in doing this?

Interesting idea! It would work like the touchsreen tablet Wacom makes, right?

The more I think about this the more intrigued I am. If I understand correctly, the tablet would behave as a peripheral (HID) for your desktop (or laptop) PC. I also wonder if that's possible...

Yes, that's the idea. I think that the trick is to make a pc or laptop treat it/detect it like those wacom tablets.

Hmm is the n800's screen pressure sensitive ? I mean can it detect how hard the pressure is ? Cause that is very important for a graphics tablet..

As far as I'm aware - it's not pressure sensistive.

Well, it is - as the earlier comments said.

See, for example, Horizon which used the pressure sensitivity to vary the brush size.

MaemoPad+ also makes use of the pressure sensitivity by default.

mypaint makes use of pressure sensitivity.
I'm using a program right now that allows me to use my ppc6700 as a tablet for my desktop and notebook, so pretty sure its possible, but the NIT wasn't made for anything but internet browsing (not really), and really if you are not a developer, or do the research yourself to get a project like that going, good luck.
I've been trying to get a descent paint, sketch, draw app on this danm thing for the longest, only to be discouraged by hildon.

Think its possible to run WM6 on the NIT?

Dang. Yeah, I've been looking for a complete, end-user-ready drawing app that supports the pressure sensitivity for a while now. Where's the love? I mean, MaemoPaint?
