Err, Ubuntu can mount an SSH filesystem and have it show up in its file manager. Why would you need Winscp?

I'm not at home right now so I can't give the precise instructions. But it should be on the top menu bar where it lists things like Applications, Places, Settings, etc. You know it's the right one if you click on it and it lists all your folders (assuming you haven't deleted the top panel bar in Ubuntu). There should be an option to mount it from there.

You go to google.com and enter "mount ssh ubuntu" and click "Search".

This is a preferred line of action for any question that starts with "How do I ...".

GFTP should be available in the repos.

Don't forget scp itself, which you can use in the terminal. Not like WinSCP, I admit. For the file-system stuff, you'll be looking at fuse and sshfs, I expect.

Both Gnome and KDE have virtual filesystems that allow you to do scp/ftp from any gnome/kde program's fileselector.

eg in KDE programs use something like:

sftp://root@10.0.0.1/home/user/MyDocs/

in the location bar of the fileselector.
