This sounds like a dead network connection. Is this reproducible?

Yes, definitely an annoying bug. Thanks for reporting.

You're right. That's a good idea.

Sorry, I can't give you many tips on gstreamer. I'm lucky that I got MediaBox' gstreamer backend working. I hate how gstreamer lacks _usable_ documentation (a general problem in the opensource world) and that you have to pick every bit you need from different people's source code files.

Yes, I plan it to be the way you're suggesting. The banner screen is basically the playback window with no media loaded yet.

Dead network connection? I was trying to get to local storage. The only difference is that I was testing a sim card from my work phone, but I didn't have data enabled. I had also been on the work wireless.

Since then, I pulled the sim card (hence a reboot), and started MB again, and am still having issues. Since my wireless autoconnects, but has to go through radius authentication, I did that then restarted.

Now this whole situation started after I removed from shelf a directory called lib (likely /lib) which I mistakenly put on the shelf. It hung for a long time then, and now it seems to hang indefinitely. Let me know if you need more info or if there's anything I can try.

Storage and Network also lists UPnP shares. So yes, it may be a dead network connection. Removing /lib from the shelf shouldn't have any impact. Do you have anything other on the shelf that could be network-related? E.g. an internet radio station (the icon pulls the favicon from the server) or a YouTube video (the icon pulls the thumbnail from YouTube)?

Thanks to pycage for addressing the BT pause/resume bug (#5990). Now I can pause/resume my music with my Nokia BH-905 headphones.

No. The only things I added from the defaults on the shelf are two directories: MyDocs/.sounds/Podcasts and MyDocs/.sounds/Experience. These were both on my N810. I'll try again once I get in my car and away from wireless to see if it behaves any differently.

I feel like one of those impatient kinds of people who stands in front of a microwave screaming "Come on!" *lol*

I'm just not smart enough to use this in it's current state but love what it has to offer.

Hopefully a fix for the big bugs will come soon.
