Hmm... you mean this Audio Player for Windows?
http://www.foobar2000.org/

Looks very interesting. Thanks for the hint. I will test it.
But as far as I can see there is no webinterface integrated to remote control it from a other PC. So I guess it wouldn't work with my small Appliaction. But perhaps I simply can't find it. Have you seen something like a webinterface?

Check the thread above, its pretty old but no one seems to code for this player though.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for?

Its a plugin for Foobar2k to control foobar via http. If you can spare sometime to read that thread, they made something for android to control their foobar2k.

We will be very happy if u can make a remote control player for Foobar2k via bluetooth or wifi.

I will look how it works. I found this thread: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/...howtopic=53563

Is WebFoo the Plugin you're using? Or do you use a other one?
The interesting part for me is this one:
http://127.0.0.1:2000/control -> /control?cmd=next
But I need a table what commands are possible. Haven't found it yet. Then, perhaps, it is not a big problem to integrate this.

But when you want some feedback, playlists or something like at the Android program, then I guess it would be better to build a seperate application.

I used foo_httpcontrol plugin on my foobar and tried 2 templates web interface for the plugin, they are working but very small interface on microB browser.

I connect via http://192.168.1.xxx:8888/index.html

index.html is to load the web interface, 8888 is the port number.

As u can see from the screenshot attached, the buttons etc are too small. Maybe u can integrate something into the ur current remote?

or write a simple program for it?

Sorry for asking too much, but I am sure many people would love to use it to control their favorite music player at home

Hmm... integrating only the Buttons would be easy. But without tracklist... hmm... is it okay without the tracklist?

Only with stop, pause, play, next track, last track and mute?

Hmm... I guess this is not enought...
It would work, but very imperfect. And there is then a lot of space wasted at the screen...

Take it easy, u can start with implementing the buttons first, then slowly with getting the tracklist and so on

Start with, play, pause, stop, next, previous, volume control, mute, shuffle etc

Have you entered the IP adress correctly, do you use a user defined port?

Try to open the webbrowser at your N900 and enter the IP adress of your DreamBox. At example: http://192.168.0.6
You should see the webinterface of your DM600. If it doesn't work check the connection, the settings at your DreamBox and if the webinterface is correctly running.
IP and custom port is correctly given in the program. I can get to the Dreambox webif from the phone browser and from my computers. Everything should be okay.

Might the webif password protection have something to do with this? Also, my dreambox is not in internal NAT network but it is connected straight to internet with real outside IP. I'm sure that should not be a problem in any way, as the webif still works on every browser on every device I have tried.

Oh, yes. I'm sorry. Your password protection is the reason. I've actually no idea how to deal with this.
Currently it works only without password protection. In the most cases no problem if your DreamBox is in the same Network and with your N900 together behing a NAT-Firewall.

Could I ask what is the reason for your configuration?

Okay, I'm currently at work (enjoying my break ) but I'll try this evening to investigate how this could work.

Of course you can, it is mainly because I'm just lazy... I wanted to keep my main computer directly connected to the internet and didn't have router when I got the dreambox. But I had a simple switch that I ended up using and the dreambox has been connected straight to the internet since, even after I finally got a router. Now it would only be a matter of configuring all the correct ports through the router, and haven't had the time nor the will to do it yet.

So as the time beeing, I just have to find the time for configuring if I want to use the remote. Thanks for the great program still!
