What did the master foo did when his thingy did not communicate with iDrive ? the linux thing to do is to try solve the problem by yourself and contribute to the community, not cry about it.
Would it impress you if I told you to go to terminal and type:
apt-get moo

?

As they are in a geostationary orbit they would be travelling through space at the same speed as ourselves so I don't see their relative speed as a factor here.

At least that's what Brian Cox said on the BBC recently and he's a nuclear physics professor at CERN so I'm going with him
I’m no nuclear physics professor, but I guarantee that GPS satellites are NOT in geostationary orbits, they need to be lower and have a serious inclination (55 degrees IIRC) in order to provide global coverage without cumbersome antennas.

Hey mate, its not my opinion. It's the nuclear physicist at CERN you are saying is only partially right.

In my case I know nothing about the subject or any of the blather about who's the uber Linux coder in this thread. Hell I bought this phone because I saw a video of somebody playing Super Mario on it.

Sweeeet

So is this what it is like when nerds attack? Semantics, fanboyism, terminology arguments... hell. This thread has it all...

Even a light year argument. I was sorta waiting on the Star Wars "parsec" comment to come out. It could still happen!

Your arguments are usually well reasoned and polite. Besides you seem to dislike Nokia not Maemo. I share to an extent your feelings.
I'm going to have to quote you next time you criticize me back sometime.

On the one hand, I don't own an N900 and I feel like I can criticize it. On the other hand, I can agree that simply saying "it sucks!" with nothing to elaborate on the subject is simply lame and speaks to a certain lack of intelligence and tact--it might even be the symptom of a psychological crisis, or simply boredom.
