But the tinkerer with a full-blown ability to create his own plastic molding and/or ability to convince somebody to do that for you... then yes. Hope you enjoy that one off mutt that might not work after you've taken the N810 and N900 apart and neither work again.

Could be epic. Either an epic fail or epic win. Let's see which way you go with this.
Come on Gerbick..don't encourage him. You know it's doomed to fail.

First off the N900 is 59.8 mm in height, The N810 is 72 mm. So the screen is at least 65 mm in height. Even if you mold plastic, the N900 won't be uniform. The top part will stick out..which is an ugly sight.

If and only if you still are willing to do this, then check if the ribbon cable fits after all. Because then you have a whole new problem, one not easily solvable, and possibly not solvable. Just take the N810 screen, remove the N900's screen, plug in the N810 screen, switch on the N900, and see if it works. Then you can try molding plastic.

But it will be ugly, not practical and most of all (in my opinion) stupid, due to the increased height. Not to mention the screws might not be in the right position..you'd have to redesign the whole top part.

Edit...Replaced cm with mm..sorry lol

... Get USB Host mode working on the N810.. plug in the N900 and tether it ... (or wifi tether if that works adequately now.)

(vnc is another potential solution )

Forget the casing problem. Are the connectors the same? Even if it doesn't fit and it works with bigger displays it would be epic win.

Imagine the hacks.

-Does Nokia always use the same connectors?
-Will there be a Software Issue?

That's a pretty HUGE N900, a truly staggering N810 as well : )

Please, get a ruler sir.
