alright guys, here's a .deb with my version of fcamera. It's basically the same as the original with one extra control for the number of photos and delay between them.

The delay slider goes from 0 to 60 in units that can be seconds or minutes depending on what you choose in the the settings screen (swipe up). See my previous post for some screenshots.

Installation is as usual ("dpkg -i <deb file>" as root). I am not sure if the deb takes care of the dependencies but I guess it does. It needs everything fcamera needs. If you have problems just install FCam (or FCamera) from the repositories and then this package.

I haven't tested this thoroughly (with every combination of fcamera settings) but I don't think it's going to screw up your phone. Let me know how it works.

If you make a movie using this, I would like to see it.

Enjoy

EDIT: forgot to add that once you press the shutter the timer starts and will stop if you press it again.

I'm curious why such a great app only supports 1600x1200 resolution?

No real reason, just the resolution I was using at the time. I can include the other resolutions easily but I think my adaptation of fcamera is the way to go (see above post). Full resolution, there.

I would like to know if you guys are using this new version of fcamera or the old TimeLapse (or something else), just so I can direct my efforts more effectively. I had no feedback and was wondering if everybody gave up on it.

Just wondering if you have contacted the fcamera developers to see if they are interested in your enhancements. It would be nice to have just one code base to install and update.

I did and they said they want to keep fcamera as simple as possible so that other could use it as an example of using FCam. They did suggest I could take over fcamera++, which would focus on improving fcamera (most important missing feature is the flash). However, I don't have enough time or even coding skills to do it.

yeah, I know... I tried to include a little indicator but I couldn't do it easily. I have to think a bit more about how to do it.

By the way, how do you guys hold your N900's to make timelapses? Do you use some kind of tripod or some other contraption? I'm looking at the gorillapod (the version for cellphones and stuff) but I'm not so convinced it would work fine.
Any opinions?

tripod and duct tape

my test yesterday gave me 10MB "dng" files for just 640x480 pixel images! something wrong?

I just tape mine to the window. About the indicator. What about making the timelapse option button stay lit when taking pictures?
