I've had this happen a LOT when dealing with Nokia's repositories.
Especially with "server resets" on the server end.
The fix? Time.
No problems with none of the other repositories I have loaded, except from time to time the server "disappears" and later comes back up.

btw, if i turn on other catalogs, can they be updated regardless of this error ?
