this is the second time i encounter this...
before i suspect hardware issue (sad to say I did reballs all the part of that phone and nothing happen... )

but this time after doing same thing it results to INSERT SIM problem again therefore
i now conclude that the problem is base on software

the phone has no problem
i just want to delete the data on the HD
my mistake is I format the HD using the format on the computer...

then after formatting the booting become too slow...
then after the shake hand the phone will not accept the sim...

is there anyone here encountered this problem before?

i really need help regarding this matter

You have updated with the old pr1.1 or pr 1.0

You need to reflash with PR1.2

It is an easy mistake to make, done the same thing myself.

Having trouble understanding what you've done here, so bare with me.

So, you plugged the phone into the PC, then right clicked on the N900 drive and selected "Format" from the menu?

What sort of data were you trying to delete?

The only way to "format"/"delete everything" on the internal drive of the N900 is to reflash the O/S, as explained in the wiki here: http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware

This should return the phone to an "out of the box" state.

it says
When flashing the eMMC content, always flash the FIASCO/Rootfs image and then flash the eMMC. Do not boot up the device between the two i.e do NOT use the -R parameter at the end!
meaning instead of flashing using this
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R
which with -R on the end i should not include it?
