Nokia has done a good job with this leak : they gave us good pictures to make us interested but then they didn't give us much detailed technical info, thus keeping us wondering and generating more buzz...

If (N9Hardware >= iPhone4Hardware) {
return true;

ng performance
* IVA™ 2+ (Image Video Audio) accelerator enables multi-standard (MPEG4, WMV9, RealVideo, H263, H264) encode/decode at D1 (720x480 pixels) 30 fps, and up to 720p resolutions
But where is the 720p decoder/encoder of the N900? clearly it support in the processor. Also the processor support 720p recording as well.. hmm.. now i'm wondering about the N900 lol

Only the higher-clocked 36xx SOCs boast prominently being able to play back 720p content.

Okay I need to vent about this leak just a little bit:
- Why does it look so much like the N8? What could be the point behind making the next MeeGo device look like the cheaper Symbian powered device? Why not make the MeeGo device stand out, instead of making it look like "N8 with a keyboard"?
- The two devices will be in totally different price categories, with the MeeGo device in the 600+ euros and the N8 has its pre-order bs price at 499 euros. That 499 euros will soon translate into 399e special prices as stores actually get hold of the device and race to sell it at the cheapest price to attract the early adopters. Why would these two devices then be in two completely separate price categories and look almost identical? In Finland at least, the 5800XM was around 350-399euros once it came out.
- The N900 was marketed as a mobile computer. The same doesn't seem to happening for the N8. So why would this physical appearance be adopted to a device that aims to serve the needs of the true power users? Two devices, two different
EDIT: Okay while I typed this next bit became already discussed, but still I feel that it's not been sufficiently revealed:
- Why aren't we speculating if this is a (more advanced) prototype of this device? I mean doesn't that UI in there look a lot like Symbian^4? Why is this supposed to be a MeeGo device and not a S^4 device?
