add it to your cart, then find the N800 and your total comes to $222.99.

Cheers!
It seems to me that buy.com does not sent to international destinations, only to the US. Is there something that I missed? Did anyone from Europe bought something from there?

Edit: I just saw in another post that buy.com does not sent outside the US.

I'm not sure how much of the European price is due to Nokia. I would expect that European resellers are getting tablets for the same price (adjusted) as US resellers... and remember that suggested retail is still just suggested.

No offense here, but if you don't know ("I'm not sure.. / I would expect..) why do you say that?

Well, to get around charges of "price fixing", many manufacturers instead of forcing retailers to sell at a particular price, they set a "minimum advertised price" (MAP), where they are not permitted to advertise prices below a certain amount, which gives them good incentive not to sell below that price.

If you've ever shopped at an online store and seen "click here to show price", or Amazon's "Click to see price", you've been a victim of the barely-not-illegal Minimum Advertised Price.

Also, I understand that where applicable, the European VAT ratchets up the price A LOT.

I have a question, I'm new to this forum, pls bear with me. I'm traveling to Japan from Australia on holiday. Would you buy a n800 in another zone (Japan), if the price is good. Will it function as it would if I'd purchased it in Australia. Is there a global warranty. thanks in advance, Giov.

It will function the same way, you can select your native language. I do not know about the warranty, you may want to talk to Nokia about the warranty.

Amazon does not ship the N800 internationally as well. To bypass that you simply need a friend in the USA or maybe Canada who orders the product for you and then sends it via air mail to wherever you live.

This post just saved me $77.99! I ordered mine from Amazon exactly 30 days ago at a much higher price and just looked to find the much lower price currently. So I called to take advantage of their Post-Order Price Guarantee, and now I'm just a little less poor. Thanks!

For the record, I said "very nice tablet", not "very useful tablet".

There's already a very long post about the pros and cons of the iPod touch, and I don't wish to repeat it here. I prefectly agree that its limitations are infuriating, and all the more because Apple does not want you to install the software it lacks.

Still: I hope that the maemo developpers will get an iPod touch in their hands. I have. I was very, very impressed. Enough said.
