Lets hope we seeing A9 in N9 when it released. Otherwise I'm probably not interested in Nokia for a very long time to come. After the N900 has failed and Nokia planing to sign the devorce paper, i felt terribly scepticle on purchasing another N-series from Nokia. I owned 3 previous N-series and I got to say I'm losing interest in Nokia.

I don't think so, look at the ARM "Eagle" core (most likely ARM Cortex A10):

TI OMAP5 series? Quad core? up to 15000 MIPS? make your speculations

Eagle is most likely 2 years away at best. A9 was announced around this time last year or so, so it takes about one year to turn the design into a finished product, and maybe another for that product to make its way into devices.

What will be interesting is when A8 reaches the level of cheap that we see with arm11 now being made in china (rockchip and such).

It's fun to dream, but it is quite a long time before we see actual devices with these units in them. Granted, 2 years (at minimum) isn't a long time on some scales, but in the gadget world, it almost seems like an eternity!

I'm looking forward to these devices as much as you likely are, but in this industry, the next best thing is always 1-2 years away!

thing is that multitasking will be smoother, even if the individual program cant make full use of multiple cores.

People who are dreaming about that for N9, just stop already. Nokia wont be using Samsung made proc and secondly we will see that next year.
I will be happy if N9 got the OMAP36xx inside, but even i have to say that OMAP4 really would make me switch to other device right away as long as it's running MeeGo or Android. That said i give 0.4% change for N9 having it.

Well say good bye to my battery life that is for sure. Seriously I don't care how powerful these next generation I want smartphones to get days of battery life like my older HTC Touch Pro 2, Sony Ericsson Xperia x1, and Nokia n97.

You aren't going to get days of battery life out of any device except ones you leave idle most of the time. Anything with power is going to get used and burn battery while doing it.
