I've found you get a much more accurate Temperature reading using the battery sensor:
echo `cat /sys/class/power_supply/bq27200-0/temp` °C
(To get temperature working in the first place:
sudo gainroot
modprobe bq27x00_battery
That should load the temperature module.
echo bq27x00_battery >> /etc/modules
Will get it to load on boot)
