I'm very pleased to announce that Browser Switchboard 3.3-1fremantle2 has been promoted to Extras. Fremantle Extras is now the recommended way to install Browser Switchboard on Maemo 5 devices.

I hope the way browser-switchboard works could be an example for other applications too. Mail and Media Player would be interesting candidates...

is it possible to launch the default browser with parameters to open a web url on load? something like:
/usr/bin/microb http://www.facebook.com
