Harmattan is not a platform - it is a release, and SDK-wise it is as much the first in the MeeGo line (through the Nokia Qt SDK) as it is the last in the Maemo one (through the deb based platform SDK). Going Qt from GTK+ is a far (*far*) bigger difference than switching to rpm.

It's the unfortunate state of the internet rumour mill. Anthing that happens anywhere is about the Nokia choice of OS.

A butterfly flaps its wings in Mexico means Nokia is about to switch to WinMo

Mr Elop blows his nose? A clear sign of an impending move to Android.

It's new moon? Obviously Nokia is about to adopt iOS... or maybe palm.

Everything and anything is about the choice of OS... because the rumour mill wants to believe Nokia is about to switch.

OS - no one really cares except geeks. That's a fact. I don't care either, as long as it is Symbian or Maemo/MeeGo

As for who is in charge of what in Nokia, THAT I really don't care about. Jaaksi leaves, goodbye Jaaksi.
