Will there be a portrait virtual keyboard in Meego?

Even with the limited portrait function on Maemo flipping back to landscape to type and back again is a little difficult (except for Opera).

The N8 doesn't seem to have one either for Symb 3.
Nokia doesn't seem to like them very much.

I for one want the ability to choose between portrait and landscape for certain apps, playing with Nitdroid I find it so much easier for a number of the apps to switch between landscape and portrait

Im use to 10 or so years minium of texting and emailing on a mobile device in portrait mode using only 1 hand, to text or email on the n900 I have to stop what I am doing and use both hands with the keyboard out

I like using the keyboard for xterm and websites just because its easier and thats when I really like the landscape mode

But I want to be able to choose

These illogical sentiments to hate anything that's 'common' or 'mainstream' without actually understanding their merits are ridiculous.

Akin to rebellious teenager in puberty trying to 'find their own identity'.

Understandable, but still silly.

Does Meego have Flash Player 10.1 already built in? Just wondering, can anybody confirm this? OVI Maps 3.0 as well?

why does some members here keep complaining about having portrait on n900? Hey its not like you'll get it mandatorily. If you want a landscape only phone then fine just leave it be. But some of us here want it. We don't have puny little hands so we can use it on portrait easily. So just a suggestion... Why not just stfu and gtfo here and don't install meego if you don't want a portrait landscape phone. We don't care its your choice.

These posts are becoming more and more useless every hour. All none sense posts about pr1.3 should be deleted or frozen.

complaints for nothing.

as we experienced with maemo, about comunity support on every f**king issue (portrait mode, modest fixes, hildon fixes, etc fixes) you still think meego is not going to bring great experience for n900 people? wow... that's something more fundamental than nokia, maemo, meego, iphone, steve jobs, fanboyism, etc. It's a phylosophical challenge of today.

comunity is everything, use knife and write it down on your forheads.
n900 is the first device to bring that on, so you are the part of history..

have a nice weekend

I think "choice" is pretty mainstream ...
