Is it not possible to have a gui front end that lets you select the colours yourself? Or can you tell us how to use different colours?
Either way, well done my man - very good work.
**Edit** - Just looked at the zip and seen how you've done this. Im ok with changing the colours myself. Not sure on a good scheme for everyone yet so i'll have a play.
A GUI still would be good though

i think i can experement with that
what we can do is: give me the colors you would like to have for each battery level
they are 8
we can make 2 bars for each color
but i dont think the N900 LED has all those varaities of those colors
and ill edit the mci.ini and upload it
1.Never! use the N900 to edit mce.ini files!
it will end up corrupting everything!

Pardon me but this is wrong. The front LED of the N900 can show 65.535 shade of colours. For example if my phone is on charger AND full, it shows a slow and nice looped animation of red -> (slow fade to) purple -> (slow fade to) blue -> (slow fade to) purple ->(slow fade to) red.
With channel 1 set to green and channel 2 set to red and playing with the PWM you can make the requested 'analouge' indicator.
I know this was not directed to me, but i played quite a lot with mce.ini not so far after i got my N900, and i edited it with my phone all the time and i was never ever able to corrupt it

Cheers bakuur. Yeah i've played with the mce before so I will be ok with that, but before I make any changes I wanted to check it out in action so i followed the installation procedure and have got fine upto the adding of the widget.
I use desktop command execution widget instead of QBCW, so I entered the code like you said and it crashes my desktop. Now I don't think there is anything wrong with what you have said to do, i think it must be the different ways that DCEW and QBCW execute the commands. See this post where I asked the question - Clicky.
By any chance do you know why it would crash it?
