Mail works, but calendar is broken in PR1.3:

1. Accepted invitations don't get added to calendar.

2. Syncing calendar only works manually -- the checkbox in the MfE settings keeps getting cleared.

As far as I can tell, Mail for Exchange synchronization works fine on my N900 after an OTA PR1.3 update. All my mail folders come across with their contents. My N900 discovers and notifies me of new mail more rapidly than does Outlook on my desktop. The calendar synchronizes fine, and I can accept invitations. I don't appear to have lost any contacts or had contacts merged or unmerged behind my back.

It's disappointing that so many others aren't finding that same level of success.

I'm synchronizing with an Exchange 2007 server. I've no idea if the Exchange/ActiveSync version in use might contribute to the success or failure of MfE in PR1.3, but it seems a possibility.

I have a problem too with mfe after installing pr 1.3
It still works and it syncs all calender tasks but sometimes it will not sync automatically and it says: can't reach server, check account settings. But if i manually sync it, then it works fine again? What could be the problem of that?

Greetings

I couldn't get MfE to work AT ALL before PR1.3, then after updating to PR1.3 it suddenly synced nicely with my Google calendar, then yesterday I tried to re-sync and add email and contacts, and I got those two error communication messages. Now I can't even go back to a working MfE just for calendar. Is this a PR1.3 thing or a Google servers thing? I'm telling you, it's bloody annoying to see other N900 owners saying "no problem here" - because we've all got the same phone!! Why won't it work?!

OK, I actually got MfE to sync my Google calendar (but still not Contacts). I had forgotten some advice from a Nokia forum site, where a helpful person lists how to do it step-by-step with screenshots.

In Advanced settings during the MfE setup, make sure you select the NEW option in Calendars. Seems to show 'N900' by default in this section, but it must be changed to NEW. If you forget to delete any old unusable MfE calendars on the phone, the NEW one will be called Mail for Exchange1, but you can delete the old one in the usual calendar settings. I am at a loss as to why Nokia makes this SO difficult, and if anyone has any advice on how to sync Google Contacts, I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

My checkbox doesn’t get unchecked, but it still doesn’t synchronize the calendar
