As the title says..

When I select the update in the application manager it says something like 'unable to install, please connect the phone to the computer and start Nokia PC suite'. So I tried that, but I get the same error. Then I also tried installing Ovi Suite, but it didn't work either. Finally I also tried updating it via NSU, but it says my phone is up to date, even though it clearly shows the PR1.2 firmware version..

Am I missing something here?

Your best off following the updating wiki and flashing your phone.

Make a full backup first, then restore from it once flashed and it will reinstall all your programs etc.

All in all it should take no longer than 2 hours, start to finish.

Search on here, there were dozens of posts about the same thing. The error message is not helpful at all, and it usually means one of two things is happening:

1) You have conflicting packages (click the "problems" tab when installing the update in Application Manager to see them). There's a list of several packages that caused most people trouble. Mostly games and healthcheck, IIRC.
2) You don't have enough free space in your rootfs. Needs about 37MB or more free space.

I did search, but couldn't find anything.

There is no 'problems' tab.

I used to have more than enough..
