its the same thing you posted, just packed into a program.
if creates an ad-hoc-network through the wlan-card of the computer when connected to the internet via cable.
all you have to do is set the networks name and password and then click "start hotspot".

How to connect net in N900 from laptop via wifi
This Article is a step by step procedure on how to connect internet from the laptop (connected through broadband) to N900 via laptop Wi-Fi.
For this you must have a WIFI enabled laptop. Am using ACER ASPIRE 4720 with WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE Operating System.
1. Connect the wired broadband to your laptop through LAN.
2. Right Click on the internet connection icon in the taskbar near the clock.
3. Select ‘Open Network and Sharing Center’.
4. In the ‘Open Network and Sharing Center’ window, click ‘Manage Wireless Networks’ in the left side tab.
5. Switch on your laptop WIFI.
6. Now in the ‘Manage Wireless Networks’ click ‘Add’.
7. A new window will open with two options
a) Manually create a network profile
b) Create an Ad Hoc Network
8. Select option B ‘Create an Ad Hoc Network’.
9. Click ‘next’.
10. Give a network name and security type as ‘No authentication (open)’ and do not type a security key and check the save this network and ‘next’.
11. Click ‘Turn on internet sharing’.
12. Now in ‘Network and sharing center’ click ‘Change adapter settings’.
13. Select ‘Local Area Network’ and your ‘Wireless Network Connection’.
14. Right click on ‘Local Area Network’ (‘Wireless Network Connection’ Selected alongside) and select ‘Bridge Connection’
15. Now a New Connection will appear named ‘Network Bridge’
16. Now see through that your laptop WIFI light is stand still.
17. Else right click on the network Icon near the clock in the taskbar and now you can see the Name of the wireless connection that you created.
18. Select it and click connect.
19. Now search for the WIFI connection in you Nokia N900 and click it.
20. Wait for the phone to connect to it.
21. Now enjoy browsing
