Hello everyone,

For some reason, none of my computers, mixture between winxp-win7 and ubunto 9.04-10.10, will only detect my microsd.
But non will detect the onboard MMC.

Ive rebooted my machines and my n900.
I can access it from on the phone and can read/write to it.
Ive removed the microsd and still the same thing.

It will pop up in windows as another drive but when you try to open it is just gives you an hourglass and at somepoint gives up.

any ideas??

You'r MMC can't be automatically unmounted (must for mass storage mode).
With lsof or fuser commands possible
detect open files on MMC.

Try opening a terminal shell, unmounting MyDocs, then plugging it into the PC. If it's compleatly unmounted (and not showing in df(1) any more) then the system should be able to use it when the USB detect hits.

I had the same problem and discovered it was an app (I forget which one) that was holding open a file on MyDocs. I changed a setting and alerted the author to move his default file location. But anything holding open a file like that can cause the mount to fail.

It could also be that the FS is having issues. Maybe unmounting and doing a quick fschk on the raw device would help that?

Well those commands are wrong.
1st you should umount and not unmount
2nd why /dev/mmcblk0p2? it should be /dev/mmcblk0p1
the one that shows up on mass storage is the MyDocs which is more than 25gb space not /home which is only 2gb.

In my case, sometimes both inbuilt and external mmc are shown but sometimes only one opens or other time both. I thought I was closing to broken usb port... topic. Is that lock daemon related to that app locker?
