N900 is almost perfect for me...
BUT!!! THE VERY IMPORTANT THING TO ME..MY YAHOO MAIL..I COULDN'T MAKE IT WORK!!! Tried all the suggestions i found on the net..including this iste...still to no success...until now Im still surfing the internet for possible ways to make yahoo mail work with my N900.

i try to set up my yahoo mail account but after finishing the setup it cannot login and always states that my username or password is incorrect although i had indicated the right info.. previously before the update i still able to get it to work but now seems it doesnt work does anybody know some solutions? thanks in advance..

Thanks for that. I've tried getting IMAP mail for my Yahoo account before, but never got it working. With your post I tried again, and it works on my N900 and Thunderbird on my netbook (though oddly I had to uncheck secure authentication for Thunderbird to get it working), both over wifi as I don't use the data connection on my phone.
There is some race condition bug between Yahoo IMAP servers and mail agent on N900 and if you use connection to Yahoo IMAP then it may don't recognize your login/password.
Actually, the same does exist for 3G but it much much rarely and because N900 mail agent usually tries login multiple times it passes.
I still have no time to debug that issue but I got tcpdump of both cases and clearly see the very fast answer in WiFi from Yahoo.
Interesting, but since PR1.0.1 (or PR1.1) Nokia deleted Yahoo IMAP servers from suggested configuration because of "connection problem"...
