This is the "best" comment I got for one of my apps
http://maemo.org/downloads/product/M...r-reminder-sp/
(The last comment on the first page)

I don't know why people make a comment just to say they don't
understand for what an application is good for or that they
don't need it.

Sadly, laughed at the comment. It is so unnecessary and tactless a comment that it seemed like a parody. Truthfully, it was so ironic (a pointless posting about how pointless an app can be) that had it been a comment about something I wrote I would have probably thought it was a joke.

You need to toughen up a lot if you consider that to be rude.
The comment didn't even call into question your skills, or attempt to insult you.
Go read some comments on youtube and popular news websites until the comment in question looks less rude.

Relax people. Don't forget that this is an international forum. Most people on here are would be non-native English speakers and as such wouldn't be able to pick up the nuances.

So what's the point of this thread then?

You will not be the only one to quit N900 development as it is coming to the end of it's lifespan for Nokia and as Meego is taking over Maemo it is inevitable that once the new generation of Meego mobiles start to hit the shops it will be quite a shock to see future development cease for the N900.

Let's just hope this community can keep it going long enough to port future Meego development to the N900 because it is now obvious the N900 is dead and buried very very soon as far as Nokia are concerned.

Sad facts but true.

You wrote that too? Thanks, because you are almost daily saving me the hassle of reminding my gf over and over again to close the shutter after she finishes using the camera.

So it does not only improve my phone, but my relation as well.

Hence the ten character minimum for posts. We know we're going to argue over whatever gets posted, but at least having a word or two there makes it slightly less ridiculous.

Smiley wars are so depressing.
