Better late than never. I connected my N900 to a scope, output below. There is hardly any DC, even at 500mV/Div. I'm pretty happy with output. However, obviously this is a sample of one.

If you can set up again, could you test when the jack is e.g. partially disconnected (i.e. during a disconnection / reconnection movement)? I wouldn't expect DC leakage during normal use.
