When the n900 is fully charged, it switches to battery. During this time, the green light is sucking up juice before you unplug

edit /etc/mce.ini to turn the fully charged light off after 10 seconds
change the 3rd parameter to 10
PatternBatteryFull=40;4;10;g;9d......

I notice a few percent savings at the end of the day...

I particularly changed it to a small blink followed by a interval, then repeat, so it stays lit only a small fraction of the time without losing the functionality.

Also, I recomment http://maemo.org/downloads/product/M...attern-editor/ as an alternative to manual editing system files for those who prefer a GUI.
