Greetings,

Just need a little help with updating maemo on my n900. What applications should be uninstalled for it to work, or how do i check this in the xterminal?

Thanks in advance

What is the error you get? When trying to upgrade there is a tab showing conflicts and errors(if any).
Any way you can get root in Xterm, then run "apt-get upgrade".

PS. There are many threads about updating, just use the search option and read carefully!

I'm trying to update to what i think is pr 1.3, but there are some packages that come in conflict with it. For what i understand some applications (mostly games) do this. For pr 1.2 i had to uninstall tuxracer etc, to make it work. There used to be some threads about this when 1.3 was launched but i couldn't find them now...

What are the packages in conflict? Please check "Problems" tab when trying to update.
It will say what packages are in conflict(most common were libgles1-sgx-img and libqt4-test). Then "apt-get remove" those packages. This process will ask you to remove the applications depending on those packages as well.
You can check this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=64312

The package in conflict is indeed libgles1-sgx img (0.20091104.34+0m5) but when doing apt-get remove libgles1-sgx-img it removed teeworlds, frogatto-engine and from what it looks like it tried removing wagic but failed and got an error msg. Closed the terminal and will see if they are still in conflict, if they are i will try again and give the whole code from the error.
