If there was going to be another Maemo5 update (there won't be) then it would have to include an Ovi Maps improvement including voice navigation. I think it's just plain rude of Nokia to release the N900 in late 2009 when they were touting "Free Navigation for Life" with their new models, and when you part with a huge $500 for their latest phone, you then find out it DOESN'T include voice maps. WTF? And it's now 2011 and it STILL doesn't have it, but cheap not-so-well-reviewed Nokias (like the Nuron) DO have it!!

Apart from that, I couldn't be happier with my N900, I LOVE it.

I'm pretty sure a new update couldn't make the phone lighter/slimmer anyway...

PR1.4 will fix the USB breakage problem. Mine broke off yesterday and now I'm hunting for a repair centre. $119 to repair it.

You can try "googlelatitude", from extras-devel. At least it provides G. Latitude and something similar to G. Maps.

It would be great to get the visioconference by phone working in the next pr1.4. That 's a promise of nokia but until now not it is not done. It is pity to see that other brand (samsung) make it work on they phone (samsung wave 7...) and not the upper one witch is the galaxy s..Same for the flash an automatic update to the next futur evolution of flash would be appreciate. Nokia sell this phone as a hight serie (N) and make it very expensive but support is not as hight as poeple can expect. for a such hight serie device

Ps When I say visioconference I don't talk about skype or MSN I talk about true visioconference. You dial a phone number from the N900 as normaly and when you get line poeple on the other side of the line can see you face this is what the samsung wave (7....) can do and not the expensive N900.Remind to nokia it was one promise may be it will work one day (they don't give a date for make it work)
