I wonder if this replacement keypad on ebay is any good?
For £3.90 it's cheap enough so that I might buy one just to find out and to keep it as a spare, just in case I ever need one

I have not tried this myself, but I believe you only have to unscrew the bottom two screws and then remove and replace the keypad without removing the screen. Good luck
