Hey someone recently posted this battery on the forums thats suppose to have the capacity of a mugen or dual modded but without the excess thickness! would love to see this verified as it would be ideal, even beyond that if modded in pairs. http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...842#post945842

im going to have to pass again, like the 2250mAh battery there is no proof that this is legit, what i can see in the pictures is that it says 1320mAh (not completely clear), and if thats the case japod is better, i am however looking forward to testing the 1420 SCUD battery, maybe it can set a new record, and if i can it is still only 7-8% better that stock, which means if you really want some serious runtime on the N900 you still have to go dual.

Again this is with current technology, and i don't think when better tech comes that you can buy a BL-5J super battery for the first year, and if you could it would probably cost more then mugen battery.

Where do you get the mugen cover? I couldn't find it in the first or last few pages of this thread or on the mugen site. If the info is available it would be good to have it in the intro post to the thread.

just solder together some stock BL-5J batteries....(10 would give us about 5 full charges...) and connect them to that battery you want to charge.... maybe with an modified battery cover with pads connected to the battery....

well, yes you can put 2 battery's together and they will equal out, just one problem, if one battery is flat and another is full the potential will be massive and this could leave to more C than both the flat & the full battery
Also if you do this the flat battery will at best be charged to 50%, unless you as you say have a big external battery you can maybe achieve 75%. I have actually tried this with my dual battery by having a battery connected to a 2mm DC plug and it did work and kept my phone alive with moderate usage for 5 days, the external battery was 3x 18650 for 6000mAh+, but my battery never got to more then 65%, but when the big battery was connected it acted as the main power source.

When charging LiPo/Lion battery's it is best to charge below 1C, i charge my dual japod with about 0.9C (2.5A), and it still takes about 1.5 Hours to charge.

Bottom line:
it will work but will not give the best result and can damage the flat battery if full mega battery is connected to a flat battery
