The N900 - I have never seen an advert for it on TV. Nor a billboard advertising it's existence. It is NOT mainstream. It is a niche device. Based on these premises I couldn't ever call it Nokia's "Flagship" device.

Now, the N8. That's at least got adverts. More "Flagship".

Crack on with your Prozac. Or get off the caffeine.
I suggest you throw that to the community and let people tell you because for sure the N900 was indeed potrayed world wide as Nokia's new flagship device.

NB here is one of about 10,000 listings to prove and please do a search on google and you will see for yourself ok.

What point did you prove? All you've done is answer my question with a rather ridiculous proposition of a link. Mixed in with you usual static like nonsense and noise.

No it wasn't.
For Flagship, read N97.

The N97 was flagship, the N8 is flagship, the N900 is step 4/5 of a now sidelined r&d project.

Yes because that link is a definitive source of information.

If you was even around in the days when the N900 was advertised by that many i lost count and every single company that sold it had the headline Nokia N900 FLAGSHIP.

Now if you want to argue this point i suggest you do a simple search NOKIA N900 FLAGSHIP and see what comes up ok. that is the last time i am commenting on this as it is now getting stupid.

I think you'll find a bunch of people like yourself thought, as the N900 was marketed as the newest in mobile tech, you got the wrong idea and as you all decided youselves that it was a "flagship" device, you all made youselves believe it. It never was, but if you say something enough times I guess you start to believe it ...

Don't you mean 'If you were', learn some grammar!
Anyway I've been here from the beginning of the N900, I just felt no need to join until my girlfriend and I bought one each after PR1.1.1 was released.

by that many i lost count and every single company that sold it had the headline Nokia N900 FLAGSHIP.
Since when has a retailers definition been absolute.
I've seen telescopes in the binocular cabinet at the local camera shop. Does that mean they automatically become binoculars?

Now if you want to argue this point i suggest you do a simple search NOKIA N900 FLAGSHIP and see what comes up ok.
And if you do the same you will notice that not one link is from a Nokia endorsed site, just stupid tech blogs by people that know about as much as you!

that is the last time i am commenting on this as it is now getting stupid.
I put it to you that you are in fact stupid, as you are unable to argue your point logically, rationally or effectively.

Which part of NO was so hard to understand?
If you like the long version, one of the first 10 posts in this thread will help as well

@abill_uk: you realized that, even if the price dropped, your link still will buy you docs that ship via email, NOT a CPU?
Or were you about to suggest to build your own OMAP3630 chip, based on the report and die photo? :-P
[[mental note to self: finally start selling "howto: ***iPhone4*** (manual papercopy) only USD349" on ebay. There's evidently customers]]
