It is fantastic! I have been like a child every morning, getting up and checking for updates first thing in the morning
You just never know when there is gonna be one... and what it will include.

Changelog:
* Added parallax (to transitions.ini) and zoom on press to hildon-desktop.
* Fixed modest's New Message button.
* Forced hildon-home's maximum number of desktops to 9.
* Minor UI change for libcpaboutcssu.

To get the changes for hildon-desktop, just edit traisitions.ini
New lines here for those who want to append the changes: http://gitorious.org/community-ssu/h...ons.ini#line43

Second change is to prepare modest for proper portrait mode.
Third one's for the issue some of you have been getting in this thread.

Just one question, what do you think of the rate of updates?

On a scale from 1 to 10 (where rate 3 is nokia's position) the CSSU team is, in my humble opinion, 9.5 out of 10. Why? well, unless MaG and the CSSU team starts dealing with the nokia email messaging notification widget (notifications for several accounts, resizable (max 600x480), portrait mode only,) otherwise, your are great...

Loving the rate of updates - just goes to show how much more efficient a well-oiled open source machine is than layers of corporate bureaucracy.

I'm going to assume that once there is a stable repository up, they will be less frequent?

loving the rate of updates, I wouldn't mind knowing when updates will be arriving although that's something I can't somplain about, after all these updates are keeping me in love with this device.

any chance of knowing when a gui will be released for transitions.ini (i can only code simple C stuff and a bit of bash)

other things i'm loking forward to is a new media player (my flac tags aren't read by the default player...or media box) and a fix for the calander (although since i only use the events part often this isn't a big deal for me)

also is it possible to do a similar thing with the clock, clone it but have it with portait support.

Presumably it alters the distance the foreground (i.e. widgets, shortcuts, etc) moves relative to the background when scrolling desktops. This will make the foreground appear closer/further away from the background.
