My N900 just went apes*** crazy. It had suddenly shut itself down during the night, has never happened before. It woke me up with an alarm though. I put it to charge and checked my emails. I left modest running, and went to have breakfast, during which the N900 had an alarm. It started to beep, as I got atleast 20 notifications of 'Temporary error, there is not enough memory.' Finally I got the notification, but now the device runs extremely hot and doesn't respond too well, actually doesn't respond at all.
I think I remove the battery, reboot and remove the CSSU as this is getting too wild for my tastes. I'll wait until it gets out of testing.

I would suggest to start a fresh thread to tackle your issue!
Just removing the CSSU will not be enough, even i would doubt it comes from the CSSU at all.
Your the only one to report this. What else is installed on the device ? What else have you customised ?

Hmmm, we need a wiki page for feature requests in CSSU. The developers could then comment on whether possible (if closed source), any actions planned, etc.Anybody agree with me?
I have created a Community SSU Requests page at http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU/Feature_Requests

As I understand it, SomePlayer doesn't do Internet radio, DLNA, or video, and it does not use MAFW. It isn't a drop-in replacement for Media Player.

Shouldn't it be up to the user what is a drop-in replacement for what? Ideally, that is.

As for the HAM, i cannot confirm this "bug" on my device. please check your setting and clean your system with some or all of the following commands in x-term run under root. also, a quick reboot never hurts.
