Hi!
How can I promote a package to extras-testing by now?
I entered the QA_Checklist in the comments. Is there anything
else to do?

Are you attempting to promote to extras-testing (from -devel) or extras (from -testing)? Which package?

Please note the following wiki entry if trying to promote to extras:

I want to promote from devel to testing.
I read the wiki page. The package is cups.

Logged into the package interface you don't have a promote button? That is a bit odd. The promotion system only has minimal automated checks that block promoting to -testing. When these are the case you get a clear message (like the diablo package of cups).

I can't remember who normally handles that site, so I'd recommend a maemo-devel mailing list post or a b.m.o website bug being filed.

No promotion button here:
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in.../1.3.8-maemo9/
Is that the right place, or am I wrong?

It might be because it is not a user-visible category. If you promote a package that depends on this that is user visible, it should be pulled in automatically

What do you mean with user-visible category?

I have entered a section and there are no more warnings.
However there is still no promotion button.

Now I'm at a loss.

Are there any user-visible aspects to this package though?
