Greetings Friends members to SSU. I am very grateful for what they are doing for us N900 users (my passion).
Now imagine that I and many other users would be very happy if you could ever add a function:
To edit an incoming call without the need to save "with contacts ". Something like: rings for 3s in the number of incoming call and the function appears to edit number.
When I got my N900 I was disappointed not to have it.
If you already have a solution for it will help me informed.
Thank you for everything!

I guess telemarketing must be illegal from where you are writing from, and dialing wrong number will have penalty

I don't understand the benefit of having automatically launching edit contact each time a new number call your N900 - unless it's a suggestion to port contacts to a new N900???

Friends asked that this function is the simple fact of my carrier show a call as follows: 062XXXXXXXX, but I must return to remove the "062". Currently I have to add in there and edit contacts. So I get saved contacts that do not interest me.

Sorry for my English. I am being supported by Google Translate!!!

Rsrsrs!

What I meant was: I can select the number called, press for 3 seconds, then open up a window with the option to edit the telephone and can return the call.

You could go to "phone" for the calls list,
Press for 3s to launch the "Open contact card",
Add "New contact"!

Hope that helps!

Thank friend for your help, but what bothers me is having to save in contacts. I just want to edit call number like any other cell phone does.

after 6 posts, i finally got ur point, actually it is indeed a very useful thing! what u can do is:
click for 3s
than go to create new contact,
select the number,
press Ctrl+C to copy it
go back to phone
press keyboard
and Ctrl+V to paste the number
then edit!

Back in Symbian i remember there was an option in the context menu for numbers called "Use Number", when you selected that, instead of calling or adding a contact the number was "pasted" in the dialing field of the phone prog, allowing you to edit it as you pleased, and even select a part of it and copy (as in put it on the clipboard) ... I still can't understand why they thought it was a good idea to do away with the pencil key, a single key for selecting, copy/pasting and calling the context menu (in Windows you use shift for selecting, control-C for copying, control-V for pasting, and the right mouse button or that more recent dedicated key to call the context menu)
