Thanks to all for brigning back maemo to life again. just one question, is there anyway to choose any folder to make it as default so when images are opened it doesnt take much time to find a picture and needs less cpu effort (image-viewer)?

You can use tracker-cfg for choosing which folders to show.
Don't forget to rebuild the database after changing the folders

Dammit I can't install it After going to http://j.mp/communityssu from my N900 it takes eternity to start the installation and if it does it ends but CSSU enabler is not visible in menu. How do I get it uninstalled so nothing will be left behind after it? I guess i messed something up the first time I tried installing it.

Also any idea what may be lagging HAM as well as FAPMAN?

Hi,

When I go to view photos, there are multiple ones of each. This was not the case prior to me installing CSSU.

...in the interests of of us power users, what's the status of the accounts UI?

There's a bug whereby you cannot set the priority of jabber accounts.

I log in using a home PC, a work PC, my N900, and occasionally, a web client. It's be really handy to adjust the priorities on the N900 so my away messages end up in useful places.

The functionality is present in the backend, but the UI won't be updated as the focus is on Meego. Any chance of getting this minor change into the CSSU? I ask about the status as the Nokia guy in the bug comments suggests it's closed source, but I thought the BME and graphics drivers were the only other pieces of closed source software left?

From the bug comments:
Code:
$ mc-tool update gabble/jabber/will_2ethompson_40collabora_2eco_2euk0
              int:priority=1337

Most of Nokias applications are closed:

Ah, things with Maemo aren't as rosy as I'd hoped then

...I was wondering about how the Skype stuff managed to get open sourced given Skype's attitude. All makes sense now. I assume the plan is to gradually work our way though reimplementing components piecemeal until we get as much as possible as L1-L4 then?

...also, is there an updated version of that for PR1.3, or are things pretty much the same still?

Its strange alright. When I boot the phone with the keyboard open I get a white screen instead of the usual gray/blue one. It gives me the option to

a) Boot from flash
b) Power off.

I can also hit shift and start an ssh server.

Does that ring any bells?
