Yup, the camera uses alot of juice. Im amazed you ran it for an hour though!?

@WhiteWolf - thats odd. Do all your other movies play like that in VLC? and pardon the obvious question, but do you hold the camera upsidedown?

@handaxe - Ah you got me
and trust me there was plenty of strangling going on...
Im never touching QtSDK1.1 again, not until it's well out of beta (automated package creation MY ***!)

But yes the app is now on the extras-devel repo, and anybody who wants to use it can search for it under the name of "phonestream" (not "phonestreamer" anymore, Im sorry).

Enjoy

OFFTOPIC: What is the background music in your video?
I tried the app thru VLC, and it actually worked!

You take that note of surprise out of your writing, do you hear ..

It works for me but the image on the PC with VLC, is rotated 180 degrees.
There are filter functions in vlc that can correct that, though indeed, it is weird. In fact, those same filters could be responsible for the inversion.

One can get transposed stuff via gst-launch commands but one would expect that everyone has the issue.

I am surprised because this is the first phone-to-pc streaming app I ever used on a device that actually works!
(talking in the surprise note again)

The app works nicely with my Ubuntu desktop.
The webcam-stream is compatible with Cheese, and also with Pidgin.
Both cams work flawlessly, although it's 0.5 seconds delayed. (Not complaining, though. Image is crisp.)
Microphone, too, works.
Only thing i wonder about is how i can use the microphone-stream as an actual system microphone? Im not really familiar with GStreamer and how microphones work in Linux. (I've never used a microphone in Linux before because Ubuntu wont recognize microphones that i plug in.)

Ah I actually never thought of that - and I reckon it's doable too.
I'll have that up within the week

Hey, quick question:
For those who have/had the problem with the front camera led not going off, was it JUST the LED or was it the front camera that refused to go off too?

It's a normal question.

The camera is in the correct position but I found that my VLC is the one with problems.

My Linux is 64 bits and it seems that your installed video tour. I tried on another computer and working properly.

Excuse me ...
