Hi Guys, I've create a project in code.google.com. You could access the project thru the link of http://code.google.com/p/aprs4maemo/. I also upload the source code on there thru SVN. You could download the source code from following link:
svn checkout http://aprs4maemo.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ aprs4maemo-read-only
If you're also interested in the project, please feel free to let me know, I could add you in the project. So that we could have a strong and universal aprs software for maemo and plugin for others OS in the future

[1|root@Bill-N900|~]apt-get purge -s maemo-mapper
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: The package maemo-mapper needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.

The purge command means your're removing a package. Have you installed the maemo-mapper in your N900?
If you want to install the maemo-mapper in the N900, you could find the mappero in the repository thru the app manager. The latest version should be 3.2. Hope this is helpful for you.

Hi Guys,
thank you for that cool piece of software.
I use a tinytrak4 kiss-tnc via a serial2bluetooth adapter. It works fine with gps-data streaming using the program Columbus and xastir under easydebian. Using mappero I get the decoded data from the tnc but I did not figure out how to send. You mentioned that I have to edit the tncinit.conf. Can you tell me what I have to change for the tinytrak ?

HI Guys,
0、Open tnc.conf and delete every lines, and SAVE it
1、Pair your bluetooth adapter and remain ADRESS , just like:00:11:01:26:00:12
2、Enter xterminal and input follow:

root
hcitool cc 00:11:01:26:00:12
rfcomm bind /dev/rfcomm0 00:11:01:26:00:12
maemo-mapper

3、touch N900 and select "Connect to TNC"

Just test it and tellme xterminal output messages.

Hi mrock,
the xterm output seems to be ok:

134 lines offset data read OK!
aprs_tty_connect in
in serial_init
hcitool cc 00:12:6F:22:3D:C9
Can't create device: Address already in use
rfcomm bind /dev/rfcomm0 00:12:6F:22:3D:C9
BT Port: /dev/rfcomm0
tnc port opened!
Enter port_read
(TNC Recv 0)DK7IN-5 APZ100,WIDE1-1 wAVR wAVR
(TNC Recv 1)DK7IN-5 APZ100,DM0DM* wAVR wAVR
(TNC Recv 2)DK7IN-5 APZ100,DB0BAR*,WIDE1* wAVR wAVR

it also gets the packets from the tinytrak. I noticed, that when I close maemo-mapper, the tinytrak is sending some packets..I have no clue what causes this.

I found something else in the xterm output

COM port speed set to:4800

I have set the speed of my serial2bt adapter to 9600. Do you know how can I change the port-speed for maemo-mapper?
regards

Hi,mspree

You should disable gpsout option (when enable gpsout , the COM port speed set to:4800). And you should disable map correct (only use for china).

This option no use at N900 now. May be use later.

Your tinytrak has worked, and later I will deliver a SIMPLE version, No NEED xterminal command
