properly a bit offtopic....

I have attached my so called 'lux-transitions'
to make it safe in case HWSync is used it got 'radius = 0' set.
Also i've tweaked the different effects to make transitions look more smooth.
I gave the transitions also some more milliseconds to load (I like it flashy and fancy) Who cares the speed if you want it to be eye candy

plz don't spam this thread. instead write me a pm on problems or give me a thanks if you like it.

Can't give you nice screencast, cos there's still no good screencast app. ^^

(rename the file to transitions.ini and put it into /usr/share/hildon-desktop or into your desired theme folder)
Attached Files
File Type: txt lux_transitions.txt (7.3 KB, 104 views)

That looks good but when i do a search for transitions.ini i find 3 instances

/opt/theme-customizer/transitions.ini
/usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini
/home/opt/theme-customizer/transitions.ini

i am using theme-customizer with awoken theme.

so which one should i replace ?

Well, AFAIK there was nothing wrong with the Camera UI, and that's been replaced by something that might be better than the stock one eventually.
Medium term, migrating away from closed Nokia binary blobs for everything is a good aim.

It's not controlling a CSSU feature, so I don't think it would be appropriate.

I haven't updated my CSSU in a while, currently I have PR 1.3.3.7-7 20.2010.36-maemo13 (09.03.2011) release, but when I try and update it in the App Manager to the latest (PR 1.3.3.7-8.1 20.2010.36-maemo14.1 (11.04.2011)) it says "To update your device to this version of the operating system you must use Nokia PC Suite on your PC" ... Something is obviously wrong with this, does anyone know?

Cheers,

Matt

EDIT: Just read the FAQ and it solved my problems, needed to explicitly install a package on the terminal using apt-get, libqt4-test.

Quoted from the FAQ:
http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU/Installation_FAQ

Most of the reasons why the Maemo 5 Community SSU cannot be installed can be checked under the Problems tab when viewing the package in Application Manager.
