Hi all,

ok just a few hours ago i have setup gmail with nokia messaging so i get real push email.

before gmail , i was using hotmail via nokia messaging which worked fine too.

however after i setup gmail, i found that when i recieve new email notifications( which is when the yellow notice shows up in the dashboard) , when i press on the notice(yellow square) , nothing happens.

by saying that i mean it doesnt take me to the email or the inbox, it just closes the yellow box , that was it.

and i can confirm that with hotmail via nokia messaging, the whole email notice thing worked fine.

anyone knows what might be going wrong here?

p.s. i have maemodder installed if that has anything to do with it.

try deleting ur gmail + hotmail accounts, then visit xterm and type:
tracker-processes -r

then restart ur n900, reconfigure ur emails

Why will a tracker process hard reset affect the mail? IIRC, the tracker has nothing to do with mail.

Please correct me if I'm wrong...

i faced a problem with modes earlier, i used to have two email accounts , then i deleted one. but after that each time i start modes i see the two accounts for few seconds.. it even gives old refreshing time. that was resolved when i reset the tracker.

i just assumed that the tracker keeps the notifications as well, so that might help..
