I bit the bullet and installed this yesterday. I also installed the enhanced kernel for the first time.
My phone is just out of warranty so no worries anymore.

Anyway, I now have an updated phone that is way more responsive, feels more intuitive, and after 24 hours is still rock solid at 1150MHz. The battery seems to be lasting longer too (I'm using ulv profile).

I am using force rotait and all the new transitions - no problems as such as yet, though I can confirm the portrait contacts edit does lock-up the application, and I am having to press power twice to unlock which I never had to do before. I did initially have issues with loss of all catalogues and authentication failure to my wireless router but these were resolved by a reboot.

Feels like a brand new phone. Awesome job, kudos to all involved

Yes I can, you can too. if you unzip it and open the css and type in green and blue then it will change. But if you don't know how then I'll do it very soon. I having dinner at midnight.

Spent like 3hours testing the conversation before released it. I got a few versions but there is a pro and con on each one. But this one seems the less cons than the bubbles versions

There have been some discussion about updating the guts of our Maemo system (Kernel, PulseAudio, Tracker, some libraries) but one think that concerns me is about updating Qt libraries.

With the recently releases Qt 4.7.2, I think we are beginning to be left behind. How are we going to maintain up-to-date our systems compared with Symbian and Desktop?

If we push a new version of Qt into the CSSU, will we be able to still use QtCreator (that would include obsolete libraries for Maemo)?

If not the Fastsmsevo but also using the predictive test from the standard VKB?
Opera keyboard has already been ruled out because it's too far integrated within Opera. However it should be possible to get a keyboard such as Fastsmsevo to look like it (at least I don't see why it would be too hard)

This discussion should/is happening on maemo-developers:

http://lists.maemo.org/pipermail/mae...ry/028193.html

The more end-usery thread on TMO is not the best place for it ;-)

ok, i see that there is gonna be a conversation portrait mode support, and i see a LOT of possibilities for that....
but i think that all these are just mod-s...
now, in a spirit of CSSU, witch i think is suppose to bring us update, and fixes of the existing apps, i think it would be more convenient just to see a plane portrait support for conversations....
no bubbles, or some other mods.... let users pick there own if they want...
better yet, a plane and simple ui style, witch is allready there, but with no need to scroll horizontal in portrait mod.....

MAYBE, only a OWN AVATAR.... (same side, or other side) that could be useful...
but again, not in the way how it is implemented now (you must put your own avatar in /usr/share/rtcom-messaging-ui/html... crop, copy, etc... NO!)
that wouldn't be appropriate for noobs, and even maybe people who is not willing to do all that necessary stuff....

there is an option in "contact" app called "my information"...
and there is an option to put your avatar (pic)...
so it could retire info from that source, and it would be more user friendly
so that would be a best way to get a own avatar in conversation (if it would be included in SCCU)

thx again for all who reads my posts

AFAIK there is already a patch somewhere in this thread to come by this horizontal scrolling thing, though I haven't tested it yet.
